The season started well with 5 straight wins ensuring pole position in the division closely followed by St Mary’s who we met at the end of October in what was a six pointer. On a foul morning a defeat moved us into second spot where we remained for the rest of the season, drawing two and losing another. This is an excellent record, played 14, won 9, drew 2, and lost 2, scoring 56 and conceding 19 goals.
Our goalkeeper Brogin Stubbs joined after Christmas and has proved to be a confident and able shot stopper who has helped us to hold on to an advantage on many occasions. Our Captain Kieran Scott is solid in defence, dependable and an excellent ball winner. Jonathon Hope, is akin to a wing back, tackling and running the wing being his speciality. Declan Middleton, dependable and powerful with a strong left foot. Jack Oliver, tenacious and strong, never shies from a challenge. Patrick Howe, tenacious, tricky, and skilful with an accurate and powerful right foot. Luke Molyneux, left winger, very fast, strong and scorer of some spectacular goals. Jack Petroczy, clever, reads the game and can pass the perfect ball. Reed Molloy, another tenacious tackler who can run and deliver the ball with accuracy. Thomas Dodds, striker who is excellent at reading the game and linking with the midfield. Conner McEvoy, striker with style, poise, and skill, excellent header of the ball. Andrew Nelson, 37 goals scored in 14 league games 2.64 per game, the most prolific goal scorer in the TJFA. Who needs Rooney, get him a passport to Germany.
We have just returned from Mablethorpe at the Lincolnshire Challenge and came home worthy winners. Looking toward season 2006 / 2007 this squad will continue to develop and hopefully continue to win honours.

We started the season with high hopes having finished the previous season 2nd in the 1st Division and as champions of the Lincolnshire Challenge. Having lost two players from the squad in the close season, one of whom was stolen by Sunderland FC Academy, it was clear that fitness and commitment would be crucial to our season. The starting squad numbered ten, and for many games during the season we often only had seven / eight players available, for various reasons, and for this, those who soldiered on deserve extra credit for having to play in a variety of positions. Three new players have since joined. As the season has progressed we have added three new players to the squad.
Four points from our first six games highlighted the strength of the other teams in the league, who often turned out with squads of 15 players plus. Our cup form however, saw us beat Mount Pleasant and Brinkburn to put us in the Semi Final. Before that we had four league games to contest. Winning two and losing two, one to eventual runaway leaders St Mary’s. The semi-final, staged on a freezing morning in December against a Barnard Castle side in exceptional form, the lads played out of their skins matching Barnard Castle in every department. A very even contest, 0 – 0 at full time and with only seconds remaining in extra time, penalties loomed, Barnard Castle scored. Devastating. Credit to the team, they held their heads high, shook hands and didn’t dwell on what could have been. League position then took priority, a win and a loss before the Xmas break had us on 15 points out of a possible 36, languishing in the bottom half of the table. The Xmas break must have taken its toll, the last 9 games yielded four points, the victory coming in the penultimate game that kept us out of the bottom two.
Mablethorpe was yet another fantastic tour, no cup run this year, although the football was good, the squad were a credit to themselves and the club, and we now look forward to September.
